We need your help!

Volunteers needed to help with a new project to record the current names of houses in Osmington and find out historical information about them.

1. When they were built
2. Previous house names for the property
3. History of who owned the house (owners can usually find these from their deeds).

The names of the houses change so frequently it is often difficult to match who lived where in the historical documents.

Taking a 21st Century snapshot will help us trace more of the villages history.

The intention is also to put the results of the survey in Dorset History Centre for the benefit of future generations.

(All volunteers will be fully credited, so you can become a piece of history too!)
